hmm...havent blog for quite a while...got nothing to blog about...stayed home most of time...either watching anime or playing com game...what do you expect me to say? oh well...guess this is the life during hols..
anyway...today was better...kangsheng decided to organise an outing for the higher chinese students...so at least i got to go out...hehe... but the response...only half the class turned up...oh well.. what can we do?
we were supposed to meet at marina bay mrt station at 5...it's 5 kangsheng...your message stated 5...so you were late by 25 mins! oh ya...it's my first time at marina bay mrt station...kinda eerie...perhaps it's the emptiness...dunno...ben chow shared with us an experience..when he got out of the train...some people got out and got back into the train after getting out...strange har...
anyway...when we got out of the station...we were stopped...literally...by a promoter...not really a salesperson in my point of view....anyway...she was blabbering about the offers that 'Pin Xian' steamboat restaurant has to offer and was saying that there is a van to send you there...it's her job to promote...so we were kind people...stood there a while to listen to what she has to say...well...not that we could run away from her...she got quite a good offer...was saying that we had quite a number of people...so she said she would give us 2 bottles of champagne...i thought it was quite a good deal...since it would be quite a good experience with champagne...but when we told her we would consider and she walked away for a moment...ben said, ' she gave that offer even to 2 people'....ok...moral of story: 'Don't trust promoters or salesperson's words'
we moved on to the bus stop...and out came another promoter from the same restaurant...man they are desperate...it was a male promoter...much forceful...immediately went into asking, 'How many people in your group?' er...hello? we din say we want to go your restaurant and it's kinda rude to just cut in like that...but seeing them still standing outside the mrt station at about 8 plus...felt kinda sorry for them...tough job to hold i would say...
anyway...we went to 'Zhen Fa' Live Seafood Steamboat Restaurant in the end... long name har?...anywa.. we got 12 people in our group...so we were allocated 2 tables....kinda got split into 2 groups...one is the 4S girls and the rest in the other group...well...we aint that close with them...so kinda hard to mingle with them...but in this way.. everyone is happy..i guess... cant ask for more...
so we got our stuff and started cooking... the aluminium foil got charred very fast...dunno why...maybe because we left it without cooking anything for a few minutes...was thinking of changing...but guess it was laziness ba... so out come ingenious ways of cooking without getting the charred substance on our food...
i think it was liwen ba...not very sure who...suggested to use vege leaf(i cant remember the name of the vege) to cover over the charred aluminium and then cook our food on it...we started off with the frying of egg...din want the black thing to be on our egg...so gonna think of some way to prevent it...was kinda successful i guess...i din taste the egg...but from what they say...kinda got the flavour of the vege in the egg... 'Eh, like that eat healthy leh' was what liwen commented..oh well...what can we say?
anyway...from our first successful attempt...we started using it for cooking pork...actually there was another idea to cook...that was to use egg shells to act as the separater to prevent the food from being in direct contact with the aluminium...but wasnt that successful...so we kinda stuck with the vege method...
we ate for about 2 hours plus i guess...then everyone was full le...got quite a lot of leftovers i think...oops..guess we took too much...and suddenly ben asked me, ' Eh, this is a seafood restaurant right? What seafood did we eat?' we ate nothing that is of seafood kind...sadly the case...we were given 4 boxes of prawns...but we din claimed them...oh ya..in case you din know...those prawns are alive, jumping...you practically throw the alive prawns into hot water, instantaneously killing and cooking them...you imagine the scene ba...kinda cruel for me...we spared ourselves from such scene ba...doing a good deed leh...those prawns get to live longer...i suppose..
anyway...back to the leftovers...got quite a lot..i got kinda worried...cos i saw a notice stating,' For every 100g of uneaten food, there is an extra charge of $5' ok...not good...so we snuck away...pretty easy...nobody noticed...cos it was a full house at that point of time...lucky us...wahaha...
after that...we kinda left le ba...so i think that's all for today...long post har? oh well... ciao~
waiting for you to come back @ 11:55 PM
